To say 2020 has been a year like no other seems an understatement. Like you, Morningstar Children and Family Services had no GPS to navigate the turbulent waters of a global pandemic but as we reflect on our experience, we realize that our children are resilient and have adapted.
As the time for our annual Dinner Under the Stars nears and there is still so much uncertainty around this public health crisis, we are going to follow the lead of our children and adapt. We hope you will again support this event which is a critical part of our organizational funding. Your sponsorship will allow us to serve our children in ways government funding cannot, in addition to supporting our community partners, the local farmers and Halyards Catering team, who grow food and prepare meals that benefit us all. Your support of this event will provide critical funding for all the things that create home at Morningstar for some of Georgia’s most vulnerable children.
Adopting the resilient nature of our children and their incredible ability to adapt while allowing CDC guidelines to be our benchmark, our event will allow you to enjoy this marvelous Dinner Under YOUR Stars on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Instead of coming together under a large tent on the Morningstar campus, we will provide an amazing culinary experience for you to enjoy with your family and close friends in your home. As you delight in an intimate dining experience specially designed by the talented Halyards team, you will also have the opportunity to hear directly from our chef, to participate in an online silent auction, and to learn more about how Morningstar Children and Family Services is caring for Georgia’s children.
And we are so excited to create a new tradition – a Dinner Under the Stars event for our children on our campus. While you enjoy dinner in your homes, our children will gather in small groups on campus for their very own Dinner Under the Stars event. We know this will be a magical time for our children to enjoy a fun, and fancy, dinner complete with music and art.
We hope you’ll join us in creating a unique experience for our children, supporting our local partners, and creating home for an extraordinary group of children.

If you would like to enjoy some great Halyard’s cuisine, and connect our kids to brighter days, join us as a ticket holder. There are two options available for you to join. You can join as a patron for $500 and received dinner for two (have additional meals delivered for $100 each) with wine pairings delivered to your door. This also includes some great event swag and the opportunity to participate in our silent auction. You can purchase individual dinners and pick up from Halyards for $100 per person.
