It is our mission to find families who consider fostering a calling. Once we do, there is an intensive, supportive, and ongoing training process to assist foster parents in becoming most effective in meeting the child's needs.
We place children and youth between birth and age seventeen who are exhibiting mild to moderate emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. Some children or youth may also be developmentally delayed or medically fragile. These children are considered by the "system" as hard to place children.
To help you decide if you are interested in becoming a foster parent, we provide you with an orientation in which you will become familiar with what to expect. You will learn the standards for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for each one of the children and youth. There is an intensive and supportive training process to assist you in becoming the most effective foster parent for meeting the child's needs. We provide ongoing training and support as a part of our commitment to you and the children we serve.
We commit that we will provide you the skills, support, and education you need to answer your calling to becoming a foster parent. Through our initial intensive and ongoing trainings, we are your team to create successful lives with these children. We provide 24-hour support through a treatment manager, respite care, per diem reimbursement, opportunity to network with other foster families, and inclusion in the foster child's treatment plan. We act as a liaison with community services, schools, and other agencies.
