Youth Mentor Specialist
General Summary:
The Youth Mentor Specialist serves as part of a cottage team, providing direct care and supervision to assigned youth, (boys ages 12-21) with special needs, including autism and complex care needs, in a manner that creates a safe, therapeutic, and home-like environment. He/she mentors and cares for children in a way which supports healing from the trauma that brought them into care, as well as the learning of daily living skills and work skills to prepare each child for their best future.
Qualifications:
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience with children, residential setting preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Clean background
- Must be at least 21 years of age
