Front Gate Guard (Weekends)

Description

The Front Gate Attendant provides security and first point of contact for staff, visitors, and vendors moving on and off the campus. The Attendant assists in creating a safe environment by communicating with staff for proper entry of all guests. 

Requirements
  • Over 21 years old
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience with children preferred
  • Must have qualifications specific to each position
  • Background check
  • Drug screening

Youth Mentor Specialist

Description
The Youth Mentor Specialist serves as part of a cottage team, providing direct care and supervision to assigned youth, (boys ages 12-21) with special needs, including autism and complex care needs, in a manner that creates a safe, therapeutic, and home-like environment. He/she mentors and cares for children in a way which supports healing from the trauma that brought them into care, as well as the learning of daily living skills and work skills to prepare each child for their best future.
Requirements
  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience with children, residential setting preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Clean background
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Youth Recreation Specialist

Description

The Youth Recreation Specialist is responsible for supporting a robust activity schedule for Morningstar’s youth (boys ages 12-21) with special needs, including autism and complex care needs. Working closely with the Resident Activity Coordinator, the Recreation Specialist will participate in planning and implementation of a therapeutic and general activities program for the youth encompassing physical, spiritual, and emotional health, as well as provide support to the Workforce Development Program. This position requires the ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including some weekends.

Requirements
