What Our Staff Say

  • BreTanya Rogers

“If you feel you have what it takes to truly change a child's life then Morningstar is the place to be. Here you will make an impact not only with children, the impact will be felt throughout the community.”

    – Brian Bean, COO
  • Jacquelyn Ferguson

“I like this quote: “Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded.” I find my work to be very fulfilling. The children here at Morningstar have typically been through a lot, so it is important for all of us here to work as a team and assist them in healing and growing to their fullest potential. I believe we all strive to see the children here succeed and achieve their goals.”

    – Jacquelyn Ferguson, Licensed Therapist, Brunswick Counseling Clinic
  • Tracie Yates

“If you want to see work in progress come to Morningstar. We have just had a renovation to our café, and it’s so exciting to see our kid’s reactions. They love knowing we care about making [Morningstar] feel more like home.”

    – Tracie Yates, Food Service Coordinator
  • McClary Baker

“I enjoy the work I do for the children of Morningstar. Many days, I want to throw the towel in, but when I think about the hurt, the disappointment, and the abandonment that they have already endured, I can't. 'You can't teach children to behave better by making them feel worse. When children feel better, they behave better. - Pam Leo'”

    – McClary Baker, Campus Life Supervisor
