About Morningstar

Morningstar Family and Children’s Services Inc. was founded in 1996 with a desire to connect Georgia’s children with brighter days. Since then, we have grown into a multi-faceted organization that achieves our mission of providing home and healing for children through our residential care program and community counseling clinics. Our homebase is located in Brunswick, GA and we have an additional counseling clinic in Perry, Georgia.

The Morningstar Main Campus is situated on 25 acres of lush property displaying all the beauty that Coastal Georgia has to offer. Our Residential Program serve some of Georgia’s most in-need young men ages 12-21, each with developmental delays and complex care needs. Besides enjoying the benefits of living in this verdant low country, the residents in our care are provided wrap-around services that address all of their challenges from a psychological, social, and physical standpoint. Additionally, we provide a tailored special education program in conjunction with Glynn County Schools in order to assist residents in meeting academic milestones. Morningstar’s Community Counseling Centers, located in Brunswick and Perry, GA, provide comprehensive child and adolescent mental health assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, therapy services, medication management, and more. Morningstar is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization licensed by the state of Georgia. Additionally, we are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International.
